The jewellery I produce uses individually handcrafted beads which I make from polymer clay.

FAQ

What is polymer clay?

I use Fimo, or Sculpey, which are man made clays.  The beads are baked and varnished before being set in the fittings.

Are the earrings safe for sensitive skin?

All earring fittings are either silver plated and hypoallergenic or are sterling silver.

Are there any Sterling Silver items?

Sterling silver items are identified by a ‘Sterling Silver’ label.

What size are the bangles?

Please feel free to try one on for size. They are standard wrist size, but smaller or larger bangles (in a different design) are available on request.

Can I have Sterling Silver hooks on silver plated earrings?

Sterling Silver hooks can be fitted to drop earrings but, unfortunately, not to stud earrings.

There is an extra cost of £2.00 per pair for Sterling Silver hooks.

(Please allow a few minutes for me to change fittings, or leave the job with me if there is a queue!)

Do you do any clip earrings?

Clips can be fitted similarly. There is no additional cost for clip fittings.

What length are the chains?

Necklace chains are 16 inches.

Locket chains are 18 inches, but can be changed to 16 inches on request.

I keep losing drop earrings. What can I do?

Scrolls can be added to drop earrings for added safety.

Why do those earrings cost more than these?  They’re the same fitting.

The price differences on individual items reflect the type of material used, or the time taken to produce the pattern.

How long does it take you to make a pair of earrings?

Oh dear. This is a really hard question to answer because I make the beads in batches and then move onto the next stage.  It takes quite a long time to get from bead to earring, therefore!
